Frau Fiber Traces Bauhaus to Black Mountain

This summer Frau Fiber traveled from Weimar Germany to Asheville North Carolina, tracing the migration of the Bauhaus to Black Mountain College.    On view in the windows of the ILGWU are her collection of East German sewing tools, yarns, tread, and weaving and embroidery samples created at the Bauhaus University in Weimar Germany.  From Asheville Frau Fiber visited factories, created a balanced twill weaving and generated a work shirt.
